I spoke to Martha Stanley who suggests that one is William Russell Johnson (which I located at the Liberty Batist Church Cemetary in Gilmer County. There must be 2 William R Johnson’s because the birth of the children are intermingled. Odom and William R Johnson married Sarah Catherine McMillian on. Odom and his father is unclear but records indicate William R. Willie Joseph Johnson (1904-1974),īlumer George Johnson (1906-1973), Sylvia Johnson (1907-1909),Henry Columbus Johnson (1909-1996),Gordon Andrew Johnson (1910-1996), Stella Johnson (1912-1913), Dudley Cleveland Johnson (1914-1994), Jewel Edna Johnson Worley (1917-1988) and listed on the 1930 Census as a son Joe Brown Johnson- 10 yrs old.(no further records) They had two children, Callie Mae Johnson (1900-1977) and Millie J Johnson (1902- ) He married a second time to Josephine Alice Defoor they had 8 children for sure and possible a 9th. I am searching for the parents of John Calvin Johnson (1876-1959). The state of Georgia does not find a death certificate. Zion Baptist Church since 1859 and was a member for 60 years. He is listed in the Gilmer County census for both the 18. James Chadwick was born in Carteret County in North Carolina in 1827. I am trying to determine who his parents were.
